Runway Report: NYC Bridal Market Day 3

Thank goodness the rain slowed down a bit and the temperatures were a little higher on Day 3. Plus, it was Monday and since most people were at work, catching a cab was a lot easier. I went to six shows and appointments that day and by the end of market, I had noticed several emerging trends in wedding gown design. Here are a few of the most common:

• Dresses that are short in the front and long in the back.
• Peplums.
• Lots and lots of tulle.
• Sleeves, both long and short.
• Boleros.
• Mini-dresses.
• Floof. (What’s floof? In simple terms, it’s bunches and bunches of small pieces of material sewn closely together covering the entire skirt of the dress creating a soft, fluffy look.)
