You have two requisites for your dream dress: princess-y ball gown and easy to dance in. Those two things don’t quite go together, right? (I have seen some very dreamy, lightweight ball gowns out there, but if you’re going for the traditional big satin skirt, I have an idea for you. ) You can have both if you opt for a fun reception frock, also known as a “cake-cutting dress.” Change into the second number after you walk down the aisle and take formal pictures so you can get down on the dancefloor with your bridesmaids and new hubby. A perfect example is the Kensington dress from BHLDN. It’s only $380 and even better–you can wear it again. Plus, you can show off those new expensive shoes you bought just for the occasion.
