Reem Acra Trunk Show at Downtown Neiman Marcus This Weekend

Sigh… Oh, Reem Acra. Be still my heart. Every time I go to the Reem Acra show at bridal market in NYC I am blown away by the sheer beauty of their gowns. They are by far some of my favorites. Each one is more breathtaking than the last. The details are exquisite and the gowns are totally unique but still classic and timeless. With that said, do NOT, I repeat, do NOT miss the Reem Acra trunk show at the downtown Neiman Marcus store this week end March 12 and 13. Call 214-573-2663 to make your appointment. I guarantee, you will fall in love. (Yes, I know you’re already in love and that’s why you’re looking for a wedding gown but be prepared to fall in love again – with some of the most amazing dresses you have ever seen.)

Angel Sanchez Trunk Show at Warren Barron This Weekend

Don’t have your gown yet? No worries. This weekend’s weather is perfect for a trip to Highland Park Village, including a stop by Warren Barrón. Why, you ask? Not only because they have a beautiful selection of gowns for your perusing, but also because they’re hosting an Angel Sanchez trunk show March 11-13 from 10am-6pm. So go ahead and mark “find gorgeous gown” off your wedding to-do list. You can thank us later.

New Twist on Wedding Gown Shopping

Traditional brides, this might seem a little too far-fetched for you. But all you unconventional brides, listen up. This could be right up your alley. So you want the expensive designer gown (who doesn’t?) but you don’t want the expensive designer price. Smart Bride Boutique has the right idea. Now you can purchase bridal gowns from recent brides for a fraction of the original cost. Yep, even those expensive designer gowns are drastically less expensive. Yes, the idea may stray a little far from tradition, but honestly, what does tradition have on a beautiful Vera Wang? Shop a selection of gowns on their web site, submitted by recent brides, and if you find The One, you can set up a meeting time with the selling bride to check out the dress in person. Sounds like a pretty smart idea to us.

Elizabeth Fillmore Trunk Show at Warren Barron

Warren Barron will be having an Elizabeth Fillmore trunk show this Thursday, Friday and Saturday (February 18-20) from 10am-6pm. Stop by to check out Elizabeth’s gorgeous frocks, some that have never before been seen in Dallas. Fillmore’s gowns are made with gorgeous, high-quality fabrics and while the shapes are classic, the details add originality. Click the link above to go to her site and peruse the collection. And as I always say, there is nothing like seeing wedding dresses in person, so if you are on the hunt for one don’t miss this fantastic opportunity.

Bride’s Head Revisited Trunk Show Extended

Alex and Emily, the designers behind Bride’s Head Revisited.

Due to the crazy snowstorm last week, The Wedding Party Studio will be having an additional Bride’s Head Revisited trunk show from February 18-20 (10am-5pm). See blog below for details on how to RSVP. And even more exciting is that they’re going to take an additional 5% off any Bride’s Head Revisited purchases during the show so your total savings will now be 15%!

Bride’s Head Revisited Trunk Show at The Wedding Party Studio This Weekend

Bride’s Head Revisited isn’t just a classic book, or a movie based on that book, it’s a custom bridal veil and accessory designer with fabulous taste. (Yes, I know the book’s title has a different spelling but you get the point.) They offer gorgeous headbands, veils, combs, barrettes, brooches, hair pins and even ring pillows for the bride who appreciates originality and vintage glamour. In fact, we like them so much we’ve used their pieces several times in D Weddings photo shoots. So if you’re looking for hair accessories for your big day don’t miss the Bride’s Head Revisited trunk show at The Wedding Party Studio February 12-14 from 10am-5pm. Trunk shows bring in more of a designer’s pieces than a store usually carries so it’s definitely worthwhile to attend. And if you make a purchase at this trunk show, The Wedding Party Studio will give you 10% off your order. So now you have two good reasons to head over there this weekend! But, be sure to RSVP at info@twpstudio.com or 214-296-4908.

If you’re looking for a classic yet unique wedding gown then you must not miss the Lela Rose trunk show at Warren Barron this Thursday through Saturday (January 21-23) from 10am-6pm. Lela is know for utilizing unconventional (but gorgeous!) fabrics and techniques and her attention to detail is exemplary. You must see these dresses in person to really appreciate their beauty and workmanship. There are no others like them.

Anne Bowen Gowns Hit Dallas

abThanks to Neiman Marcus and The Bridal Salon at Stanley KorshakAnne Bowen gowns are now available in Dallas. The designer, who premiered her bridal collection at Fashion Week in New York, is known for creating stylized evening wear. Bowen took her red carpet sensibilities and applied them to gowns that are beautifully non-traditional, simple, and fresh. If you want bling and frills look elsewhere. There’s none of that here. Many of the dresses offer gorgeous views from the back as well as the front with asymmetrical shoulders, billowing trains and dramatic draping. If you’d like to make a glamorous statement at your wedding, you should definitely try an Anne Bowen.

StarDust Celebrations Now Carrying Monique Lhuillier’s Bliss Line

LogoWho doesn’t love Monique Lhuillier gowns? Right. Everyone loves Monique Lhuillier gowns. They’re modern, feminine, classy and unique with incredible detailing and workmanship. But the problem is that not everyone can afford to pay upwards of $5,000 for a dress that will be worn once. Thank goodness Monique understands this and thus, has created a more affordable collection (from $2,300-$3,500) called Bliss to make her gorgeous designs accessible to even more brides. And thank goodness StarDust Celebrations has decided to carry the line. I don’t have any photos to post but you can see the entire collection on her web site. But wait! There’s more! Stardust will be having a Bliss trunk show from January 22-24. Appointments are recommended and, I’m guessing, will fill up fast. So call to book yours now!
