Say Goodbye to Painful Wedding Shoes With Insolia High Heel Inserts

inIf you knew a world-renowned podiatrist and an MIT rocket scientist had designed high heel inserts would you try them? And what if said design had received the Seal of Acceptance from the American Podiatric Medical Association? Would that make you want to try them even more? I don’t know about you but I think they sound like something we heel addicts shouldn’t live without. The inserts, called Insolia, are the “only high heel insoles that are proven to shift weight.” And what does that do? Well, in simple terms, it allows us to wear our gorgeous shoes longer and more comfortably. (more…)

StarDust Opens New Bridal Salon, A Bridal Closet

stardustIt goes without saying that your wedding gown is the single most important detail of your big day. Yes, the hottie standing across from you, pledging to love you for the rest of your lives is right up there at the top of the list, but the gown? Well, it’s a close tie in my opinion. Bottom line, the dress is kind of a big deal, so it’s important to choose wisely. Fortunately, StarDust has added a third location to its wedding gown empire for your perusing. In addition to StarDust Celebrations and Lulu’s Bridal Boutique, there’s now even more of a selection of gorgeous gowns with their opening of A Bridal Closet at The Shops at Willow Bend. The swanky new shop carries brands such as Alvina Valenta, Jim Hjelm, Maggie Sottero, St. Pucchi, Elie Saab, Watters, and the list goes on for miles. They also carry attire for your entire bridal party, from bridesmaids to flower girls. Bonus: they offer off-the-rack.

Located at 6121 W. Park Blvd. in Plano. Open Friday through Sunday, or available by appointment. Call 469-366-0788 for more information or to make an appointment.

Marnie Rocks Offers Chic Idea for Bridal Jewelry

marnierocksCan’t find the perfect drop necklace or chandelier earrings for your big day? Marnie Rocks has the smart solution: design your own. Imagique Hair and Spa Grand Opening Party

imagique-posterYou read about my wonderful visit to Imagique a while back and what a great place it is for a little pre-wedding preparation and pampering. Well, on Thursday, August 27 they’ll be having a day-long grand opening party that I encourage you to attend. Join them for music, snacks, and a look around this one-stop shop. Meet stylists, nail technicians, masseurs and estheticians in person to ask questions and learn about the bridal services they offer. If you think about it, it’s a great way to “interview” the people who can pamper your skin, hair and nails without having to make a commitment. Get some information on their experience, techniques and personalities and then decide who you think will work best for your big day. (Be sure to chat with Julianna Pabst, esthetician extraordinaire, on how to get the perfect wedding day glow.) Take your bridesmaids with you so they can do the same thing. The person who works for you may not be best suited to your attendants. This way, each of you can get the look you desire without being scattered all over town (plus, you won’t have to worry that someone might not make it to the church on time). And those who just want their nails done, or need a de-stressing massage can do so in the same place! It’s perfect for everyone, even your soon-to-be mother-in-law, the flower girl and your dear mother herself.

Calling All BridalBuzz Readers – We Need Your Help With Bridesmaid Ideas

bookOne of the questions I get asked most often by brides-to-be is if I know of a cute way to ask their friends to stand up in their wedding. Rhonda recently blogged about some adorable cookies you can send but I thought I’d ask you, our readers, if you have any suggestions. One of my friends had us all over for champagne, cheese and strawberries and gave us each a beautifully wrapped gift. In it was this book about how to be a fabulous bridesmaid and a note asking each of us to be one of her attendants. It was very sweet and sentimental and the book was really helpful. So tell me, what are your ideas?
