Kate and Tanner met while attending Pepperdine University in 2005. The pair spent the next five year as friends before celebrating Valentine’s Day at the NBA All-Star Game at Cowboy’s Stadium. They knew that night that they were meant to be.
Three years later, the couple visited one of their favorite ski locations in Santa Fe. Tanner knew this was the perfect place to propose because it’s where he first told Kate that he loved her. As they arrived at the top of the mountain he got down on one knee and asked Kate to be his wife.
Kate studied public relations while Tanner worked on his degree in political science. Kate is now the social media coordinator for Boston’s Restaurant & Sports Bar and Tanner is a financial advisor for JP Morgan/Chase. The pair will wed at the Ritz-Carlton on April 20, 2013.
