Kelly Simants, owner of wedding planning company Sweet Pea Events, has launched an interesting new event planning venture. Sorry girls, but this is a guys-only club. Planning For Dudes assists grooms-to-be with executing a memorable proposal that is worthy of bragging rights (or in some cases a reality show). She offers up two packages: the first is an idea generation brainstorming session. She creates the plan, and you take it from there. It’ll cost ya $300. The second package includes planning every detail from start to finish. Her team will present the plan, make the arrangements, secure a photographer and videographer, hire vendors, and choreograph the proposal. Depending on how elaborate the idea, the packages runs $750-$2,500.
Meet Kelly and her team at the Planning for Dudes launch party on Wednesday, February 6 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at EM The Venue, 1500 Dragon Street in the Dallas Design District. The party will have a plethora of dude-friendly attractions like beer, bacon, and XBox.
