Bridal Buzz

Kimberly and Rob met at the University of North Texas. Kimberly was a fashion merchandising major, and Rob was studying design. They noticed each other in class and started chatting. Rob asked Kimberly to their first date at the Dallas Mavericks game, but shortly after Kimberly decided that she wasn’t ready to date so they remained friends. After graduation, they lost touch when Kimberly went on to work for J.C. Penney Corporate and Rob decided to help with his family’s business. Three years later, Kimberly planned to meet up with her childhood friend at the Dave & Busters at the Arlington Highlands. She had never before been to this location, nor does she frequent the restaurant. As she was looking for her friend at the basketball game, she ran into Rob. After this fateful encounter, the couple hasn’t looked back since.

Every year, Rob’s family hosts a holiday office party. The partygoers enjoyed food, games, and watching sports. Rob remained calm, cool, and collected, so Kimberly didn’t know anything was about to happen. Rob’s family gathered their friends around a circle and invited people to speak about their good times with the company. Rob stepped out in the middle of the circle and got down on one knee and asked Kim to be his wife. She was completely surprised, as she didn’t even notice a ring box in his hand. He had coyly taken the ring out of the box and hid it in his hand during the speech.

Kimberly works at J.C. Penney Corporate as an e-commerce site merchandiser. Rob works for as a manager for Liberty Proclaimed Ministries. Rob is also developing his T-shirt business.  The couple will marry October 27 at Lofty Spaces.
