Daily Advice for the Dallas Bride

Engaged: Brittany Dingle and Bill Rugg

Brittany was in public relations and Bill had just joined the National Student Housing team. During their orientation, their boss thought they would be a cute couple. Their relationship started out as good friends and then grew into something more. The couple can’t say when they became “official” so they like to say they have several anniversaries. Their first dinner date was at Nick & Sam’s, their first concert date to see Dave Matthews Band, and their first Dallas Stars game.

Three years later on January 15, Bill proposed. Brittany was out visiting friends and came home to their bedroom full of scattered rose petals, lit candles, and—to her surprise—Bill asleep on the floor. At first she thought it was a joke, but quickly realized she should take advantage of the situation and jump in the shower to get ready. After Bill eventually woke up, he took her to the rose-covered room and asked her to be his wife. Following the proposal they went to Javier’s to celebrate.

Bill went to Southern Methodist University and received a BBA in finance. He now works at ST Residential. Brittany studied journalism and mass communications at the University of Oklahoma. She works for Jones Lang LaSalle. The couple will be married on October 20th at Royal Lane Baptist Church followed by a reception at the Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek.
