Bridal Buzz

Kelly and Cameron met at a friend’s party five years ago while attending Baylor University in Waco. They felt a spark that night, but they took their time getting to know one another and officially became a couple the following fall.

As four years went by, the pair only grew closer. Cameron graduated in 2009 with his degree in marketing and entrepreneurship and Kelly received her degree in finance the following year. They took a weekend trip back to their college campus for the football season opening game against TCU. It was a beautiful Saturday, so Cameron suggested they spend it walking around the beautiful campus together. Once they reached the center of campus, Cameron asked if they could look for a brick in the sidewalk that his fraternity donated after graduation. After a few minutes of eager searching, Cameron called Kelly to come over near the middle of the quad. He wrapped her up in a big hug and began telling her how much he loved her and that he wanted to give her something. He moved his foot and she read the words “Kelly, will you marry me?” inscribed on one of the bricks. Stunned, Kelly looked up to see Cameron with a gorgeous ring in his hand.

Kelly is the operations manager for her family’s frozen yogurt shops and Cameron is a commercial underwriter for CNA. The couple will marry at Christ the King Church with a reception to follow at the Dallas Country Club on October 20, 2012.
