Bridal Buzz

Seven years ago, Christine and Robert dined at Nick and Sam’s, but not together. She saw him eating in the bar, and knew she had to get his attention. She secretly slipped the bartender her number. Robert called the next morning and asked her to dinner that night.

Robert and Christine love to travel. Their adventures took them to romantic spots such as Venice, Tuscany, and Tahiti. Each time she packed for her trip with Robert, she thought she’d be coming home engaged. After multiple vacations with no ring, she eventually gave up on the thought. Little did she know that Robert was planning the ultimate surprise for a Valentine’s Day trip to the Maldives. The two enjoyed dinner in a remote location in the sand, and he popped the question. He whisked her off to a private island in the Maldives to celebrate their engagement and the anniversary of the day they met.

Robert graduated from the University of Texas with a business degree, and now works at AMX where he is the director of the InConcert Partner Program. Christine traveled as a promotional model with NASCAR after graduating high school. She now works at Andrews Distributing as an event manager.

The couple will marry on September 17 at the St. Regis Princeville Resort in Kauai, Hawaii. They’ll return to the Maldives for their honeymoon.
