Bridal Buzz

In 2008, after exchanging messages via Facebook, Lauren and Tamarick properly met at their church’s annual hat show where Tamarick was a hat design model for the charity event and Lauren was volunteering as a hostess. Sparks flew as the pair traded glances and small talk all afternoon. They were so swept away with laughter and conversation that they decided to go on a spontaneous first date that very evening. Lauren happened to have an extra ticket to the Jay-Z concert, so Tamarick tagged along with her and some friends. The night went on and the couple hardly noticed the performance they had come to see as they quickly realized that this would be the first of many dates to come.

To celebrate Christmas Eve in 2011, Tamarick decided that he and Lauren should begin a new tradition. The plan was to enjoy a romantic meal and then spend a cozy evening at home where they would each open one small present before saying goodnight. They shared a delicious dinner at Ruth’s Chris Steak House before going home to open their gifts. Lauren was touched when she opened a photo book that her guy had made. It began with their parent’s wedding portraits and followed with baby photos and images of their life together over the last three and a half years. Finally, she came to a page with a big red arrow that read “I want to ask you something.” When she lifted her head in confusion, she was delighted to find her love on one knee with a gorgeous ring in hand.

Lauren graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in marketing and retail studies. She is currently the Assistant Buyer for The Container Store. Tamarick studied Computer Information Systems at the University of North Texas and is now a Database Administrator for Santander Consumer USA. The couple will say their vows on September 15^th at Bass Performance Hall in Fort Worth.
