When the new Cowboys Stadium was finally completed, die-hard football fan, Jennifer Ryan, accepted an invitation to watch the first pre-season game from her brother-in-law Shawn’s suite. Also attending was John Carter, one of Shawn’s co-workers who, admittedly, couldn’t keep his eyes off of Jennifer all night. At work the following week, John asked Shawn if Jennifer would be attending the next game to which he responded that he could “make that happen.” Upon arriving at the suite that night, Shawn didn’t waste a moment. He headed straight over to Jennifer and the two ended up talking through the entire game. Afterward, they all headed to Shawn’s house where the starry-eyed pair shared a dance. The following day John asked Jennifer out on an official date and soon after, they became a couple.
Three years later, Jennifer and John headed to Fredericksburg for a little R&R. They had planned to spend the last few days of spring break alone, enjoying the scenic views of the Texas Hill Country. Little did Jennifer know that for weeks John had been hiding a ring and planned on proposing during the trip. Initially, he’d wanted to pop the question in a scenic location, but after the long drive he ended up on one knee in their hotel suite where Jennifer’s “yes” was music to his ears.
The couple will wed at the Hoffman Haus in Fredericksburg, Texas on September 8th, 2012.
