My fiancé and I are debating between a reception at a hall or one in my parent’s backyard. If we go the backyard route we’d need to get some tents. What kinds of questions should we ask rental companies regarding tents? We don’t even know where to begin. Thanks!

Tents require a site inspection to properly quote. Weather conditions, bathrooms, arrival of the guests and good event flow are all important things to consider. So think through how you want the event laid out before you get a quote. Space needs you will want to adhere to are 20 square feet per guest for a seated dinner, 15 square feet if your doing a cocktail party with mixed seating for 50 percent. Keep in mind that a flat unobstructed space will be required so if you live in a forest that will be a problem!
