Doug Rice and me with Bridal Gown Slim Down winner, Nicole Lee.

NICOLE LEE! Last night, at a lovely soirée at Times Ten Cellars, with friends and family present, we announced Nicole as the Bridal Gown Slim Down winner. It was heartbreaking not to be able to give all the contestants the grand prize because every one of them worked their butt off (literally and figuratively) over the last three months. They all had an incredible attitude, participated in every aspect of the contest and saw results. To us, they are all winners! Unfortunately though, only one could get the grand prize. Not only was Nicole the top loser (pun intended) with a 24-pound loss but over three months she attended Bridalicious Boot Camp fifty times, sometimes twice a day. Watch for Nicole in the next issue of D Weddings (which won’t be out until December but don’t worry, we’ll remind you).

We wish all our contestants, a wonderful wedding day and congratulate them on their accomplishments throughout this contest!

And we’d like to give one last shout out to everyone who helped make this contest happen. We couldn’t have done it without you! Thanks to: Doug Rice and his Bridalicious Boot Camp, Jason Traub of Elixir Entertainment, Gil’s Elegant Catering, Helmutwalker Photography, SaraBeth Events, Terry Costa, My Fit Foods, The Adolphus, Times Ten Cellars and Studio 22.

Oh, and don’t miss the Bridal Gown Slim Down Finale video coming to BridalBuzz on Tuesday!

  5. Although Nicole worked very hard, I think other members were more deserving of the win. I have been following the slimdown from the beginning and must say I was very disheartened by the final verdict. Other contestants were much more positive and had more eloquent statements. Also, reading that the winner was determined by the number of boot camps attended struck me as a little odd. I have an 8 to 5 job and I can’t imagine going to 2 boot camps a day, the girls with jobs were at a real disadvantage.

  6. Way to go Nicole!!!! It was awesome and motivating to see all the hard work you put into this!!! I couldn’t imagine doing all the things you did; from eating the same breakfast and lunch every day and you leaving all dressed everyday after work for bootcamp!!!

Congrats!!! Your wedding will be beautiful and well deserved!!!

  7. I am so proud of you Nicole – we all wanted to win this, but you definitely deserved it! I am so grateful we gained a friendship out of this as well :)

  9. Kelly, I have to tell you that Nicole does have a JOB. She worked very hard to juggle her JOB and the boot camps. She actually works TWO JOBS. You have no idea what kind of awesome Woman she is. I think you were very out of line to write such a comment without knowing the facts. I am very proud of Nicole and all the other contestants. The contestants have worked hard and have become very good friends and we do not need someone like you putting comments like this up to cause trouble. A job well done by all contestants and I know that each and everyone of you will be great looking brides because of what you accomplished in this competition.

  12. Awesome job Nicole!!!

  13. Seriously?!?!?! Based on pounds lost even some contestants were bigger than others. Even Biggest Loser does just judge on pounds and attendance. and who does body camp 2 days a week? Doesn’t sound healthy to me. If that is what takes for my fiancé to love me NO THANKS!!

    Cindy @ July 16, 2011 at 6:15 pm
  14. Yea Nicole!! Amazing doing all that you do! And yes folks, TWO jobs AND this commitment and more! We’re in awe! Lucky Jeremy! ALL the girls are winners and ALL deserve congratulations and that INCLUDES Nicole … she’s a winner in life too.

  15. Great picture! This competition was not easy by any means. Everyone pushed hard and we all did things we didn’t even think possible! I will forever be grateful for what being a part of this has done for me! Thanks for everything D! And everyone is a winner in my book :) . 68 DAYS!!!!!!! Woohoo!

  16. Way to go to all contestants, job well done!!! Nicole is an amazing woman and handles stress very well. Juggling two jobs, a fiance, and working her butt off to accomplish a goal she set for herself. I work out all the time, sometimes two times a day, it is not unhealthy to do so. There are alot of people who work out for several hours a day. Nicole is a very down to earth woman and Jeremy loves her the way she is, she did this bootcamp for herself. I think people who would like to talk negative should actually spend a day in her shoes, because I promise you, you probably would not be able to do it. She has accomplished so much for her to be as young as she is and she has done this because she sets goals and gives 100 percent to accomplish them. Love ya Nicole and I am so glad I have gotten to know you in this last year.

  17. Way to go Kelly, honesty is key!!! I have to piggyback your comments. Miss Nicole’s mom and friends, I don’t think Kelly is putting Nicole in a negative light. Kudos to Nicole for working two jobs. Fantastic. I myself have two jobs. Let’s pat ourselves on the back for that… Give me a break…Kelly was just pointing out that going more than the requested 3 times a week is an unfair advantage to those who CANNOT go more than 3 time a week or twice a day…hmmm…wonder if she pumped up the attendance at the end, or was consistant about the multiple attendance… Doubt it because going to a rigourous boot camp such as this, plus working two jobs would take you out in a couple weeks. But then again maybe she’s Superwoman…. LOL! :/

Bride to Be @ July 18, 2011 at 1:44 pm
  18. Awesome job Nicole!!! The most weight lost in pounds and percentage. You literally worked your butt off :) Good job to all the girls and the what they achieved!

    Jessica @ July 19, 2011 at 11:58 am
  19. Everyone has it all wrong. Nicole not only went to the most boot camps, but she also lost the most percentage of weight lost, the most percentage of body fat, had the best personality and all the other all around package so everyone just needs to get off their high horse and just face that she is was the winner and move on and quit being such a sore looser. By the way I am not Nicole’s mother, but consider it an honer that you all think I am.

    Debbie @ July 23, 2011 at 10:26 pm
  20. Debbie~
It’s amazing to me that you know what all the contestant’s losses as far as weight and body fat percentage in order to compare that to the winner. How do you know that Nicole lost the most body fat percentage??? Was this posted somewhere that no other BridalBuzz followers could see… I only heard and read pounds lost. I don’t think there are any sore losers to be talking to because none of the so called “high horse” comments are coming from Nicole, Kelsey, Melissa, Jackie, or Sandy. You’re just offended and upset that individuals have strong opinions. Face it, this is part of the public contest/reality territory. No matter how you put it…”sore loser”…”high horse”….”face that”….no one cares. People have opinions and if they don’t agree they will speak them…just as you are defending Nicole…which no one is personnally attacking or putting her down…Congratulations to Nicole for winning, but this appeared to be a weightloss challenge…not Miss Congeniality. So best personality doesn’t seem like it’d be a huge factor in the judging process…
