Thanks to Caroline Bredthauer for this week’s wisdom:
“I think the ONLY thing I’d change about my wedding would be to have hired a videographer. No one made a huge deal about it when I was talking to planners, vendors, etc. so I just didn’t really give it much thought. I had no idea how sad I would be about it until I viewed some footage a family member had taken that night on their personal video camera. It was SO much fun to see! Of course our still photos are great, but it would have been so cool to watch the whole evening as if I had been a guest! Don’t make the same mistake I did. You won’t watch the recording all the time, of course, but it will be a great thing to share with family, friends, children and grandchildren in the future.”

“If we only had a video of the wedding day”. This is the number one regret I hear from couples and their parents. I have even seen a father tear up talking about the “wonderful silly toast” by his mother that they “wished” they had.
Yes, I’m a Videographer, and I produce videos for people who don’t want to just preserve the memory of their day, but to actually own their day forever.
My suggestion – you have one shot at this, so make it count.
