Eric Olschwanger Custom Jewelry Design

Looking for jewelry that not only stands out but is 100% original? Well, we have the jeweler for you –  native Dallasite and UT grad, Eric Olschwanger. A GIA certified diamond gemologist and custom jewelry designer with over 18 years of experience, Eric can create just about anything you can dream up. While most of his clients prefer traditional to modern pieces, he has designed many original rings like one that was the silhouette of the Eiffel Tower and another, in the shape of a spider. Olschwanger is a strong believer in customer service so he only takes on a certain amount of clients at a time in order to provide them his undivided attention. In addition, he educates his clients not only on the 4 C’s (cut, clarity, color, carat) but also on depth and table percent, fluorescence, shape, certifications and buyer beware topics. Olschwanger designs his rings on the CAD (computer aided design) system instead of utilizing the hand-made process where glitches can occur. This ensures the ring is perfect in design. We’ve been told that “he sells his stones at competitive prices and beats retail jewelers hands down in cost.” While we can’t confirm that, we can say that it’s definitely worth checking out.

  1. Eric was my jeweler for my fiance’s engagement ring and was unbelievably helpful. He made the entire experience very easy on me and, since I proposed, he has continued to be great by working with us on sizing, cleaning and maintaining the ring. I will definitely be using him in the future.

  2. Eric is great to work with. I had some ideas of what I wanted to give my wife for an engagement ring and we went through several designs in CAD until finally arriving at the design you see above. Eric pulled it off perfectly. I am happy to see our ring here and I’m sure my wife will be thrilled when she sees it too.

  3. I proposed to my wife in August, 2008, and Eric was the man for helping me find a brilliant stone that fit within my budget, and putting it on a great ring. I had looked at retail jewelers just to get an idea, and was SO happy that Eric could save me so much money and get me a better piece than I had been hoping for. He’s now our family jeweler for life.

  4. Eric guided my husband and I from “post it note sketch” to amazingly beautiful diamond ring, and after 5 years – I still know it is absolutely perfect. Eric knows how to ask the right questions, how to turn that information into something beautiful – and how to become a friend along the way.

  5. I’ve had several pieces of jewelry designed for my wife over the years, including her engagement ring in 1999, necklaces, bracelets & the like. He’s never failed to provide us with great service, incredible wholesale prices, and top-notch quality. You’d be amazed at the difference if you’ve never had a personal jeweler…those big-box stores have nothing on Eric!

  6. In a word, Eric rocks. His extensive knowledge and experience enables him to work with clients to create just the right piece for that special someone. Eric recently re-built an heirloom ring for me that has been in my family for over 100 years. While maintaining the original style, he created an incredibly gorgeous and personal ring that honors its history yet is distinctively modern. AND, his prices can’t be beat!
